| Having
enjoyed a close working relationship with one of the world's largest
soft drink manufacturers, which included an
operation to decant pre-formed bottles into drop boxes, they
approached us regarding their additional storage needs, required as a
result
of their sponsorship for the London Olympic games. Being a main sponsor of the games, they had obligations to fulfill and Olympic stadiums and villages to supply, in addition to their usual throughput. Storage space was always going to be an issue for them, considering the extra units being produced and promotions that they were running. We were able to assist and, by consolidating some of our other storage obligations and utilising a satellite warehouse, we were able to provide somewhere in the region of 8000 additional pallet spaces per week. As part of our ongoing working relationship, we were vetted as a company and our warehouse operations and systems were tested to enable us to become an authorised external storage depot for all of their products. We are pleased to advise that we received a 96% pass in their warehouse 'gold plan' tests, one of the highest marks awarded to a third party storage facility. Our business arrangement includes our own full in house stock control systems, as well as computerised links to their system, hardware and scanners. Technology in the 21st century - It's the real thing! |
